Academy of Food Marketing

The Academy provides a variety of employment opportunities and services to Food Marketing majors. If you have any questions, stop by, call 610-660-1600 or email mmalone@sju.edu.

Full-Time Employment
Due to its reputation and its credentials as an educational leader for the industry, the Academy of Food Marketing has been successful in placing on average 70% of its graduates in the food and allied industries. Also many students pursue further education after graduation. Our Placement Report provides detailed information on the graduating class of 2007.

Summer Employment
Summer work experiences in the food industry are available for all interested Food Marketing majors. Students obtain employment with the various food companies through on campus interviews held in the Food Marketing offices. This opportunity gives the student a meaningful work experience, financial benefits and a leg up on their competition at graduation. Again, this past spring the majority of our students interested in summer work accepted positions in the food and allied industries.

Job Placement Services
In addition to facilitating placement for summer employment & experiential learning, the Academy arranges and coordinates interviews on-campus between graduating Food Marketing majors and prospective employers. Job interviews are arranged in both fall and spring semesters and two University-sponsored career fairs are held on campus each year.

Through the Academy students fine-tune their resumes and learn interview skills.  Food Marketing alumni may continue to use the Academy’s job placement services.
